Alice Cooper headlined this show at the Memorial Coliseum in Portland Oregon on May 24th 1973. This tour was promoting his new Billion Dollar Babies album. The tour was so massive it broke box office records in the US previously held by The Rolling Stones and included 64 concerts in 59 cities in 90 days. The live performances featured Cooper being decapitated by a guillotine wearing a costume with fake blood stains on his crotch tearing apart baby dolls and viciously attacking mannequins. Alice Cooper has played a huge part in shaping the sound and look of heavy metal for several decades and has been described as one of the first artists who introduced horror imagery to rock and roll.
