This vintage poster was produced for the 1974 Sc-Fi film “Space is the Place” featuring the great Sun Ra and his Intergalactic Solar Arkestra. The movie was directed by John Coney written by Sun Ra and Joshua Smith. Sun Ra’s Avant-garde jazz studio album of the same name was released the year prior which successfully blended science fiction with ancient myth – subsequently inspiring the creation of the film.
