Another first timer with CGC Grading in this auction! AND in PRISTINE Condition! AND featuring the GRATEFUL DEAD! This original handbill was produced for a Grateful Dead show in the Northern California town of Santa Rosa. This specimen is a true standout. The portraits of the Dead in this piece were rendered beautifully by Stanley Mouse (Workingman's Dead art) and Timothy Dixon created the image and lettering.

1970 was a time of change for the Grateful Dead. They were about to alter their sound and songwriting structure to a more folkish acoustic style with new albums like "Workingman's Dead" and "American Beauty". This high grade handbill is a testament to that glorious era. Handbills and postcards are currently one of the hottest segments of the market. Read our blog dated 5/18/18 for details!

The winner of this lot will know that other CGC graded specimens of this issue could potentially surface over time but NONE are likely to meet or exceed this in quality!
