Here we have the FIRST CGC Graded example of this high grade postcard we've auctioned! It was designed by renowned Detroit artist Gary Grimshaw for a run of shows featuring the MC5 and Southbound Freeway. MC5 started their music career in Michigan and developed a reputation for energetic and polemical live performances. They were a mainstay at the Grande Ballroom.
The Grande Ballroom series produced some of the finest imagery from the 1960’s music scene. In many cases promoter Russ Gibb chose to only produce postcards to promote events. That being the case Grande cards and card sets have become one of the most highly sought after items by serious collectors. Superb Museum Quality that is unimprovable in every way!
