This Limited Edition Poster is signed and numbered 87/400 in pencil by the artist COOP (Chris Cooper).
Here is the FIRST example of this issue to appear in our auction! During late 1993 Nirvana embarked on their “In Utero” tour and artist Coop designed this wonderful limited edition poster to promote their concert at the Los Angeles Forum in Inglewood CA on December 30th. The Butthole Surfers and Tad were supporting. The following night Nirvana played new years eve at Oakland Coliseum. You may have seen an example of that poster in our last auction.
It is IMPORTANT TO NOTE that there were ONLY 400 of these original limited edition posters produced. An extremely LOW number for such a popular band during this era of their popularity! We don’t come across Nirvana material that often because it can be so difficult to find which makes this example a real treat. There are tons of reprints of this kind of material out there but very few numbered limited edition prints still exist today.
This 87/400 example here is EXTRA special because it is personally SIGNED and numbered by the artist! More and more collectors are coming into the fold with the knowledge that artist signatures add a whole other dimension to their treasures.
