Here we have an original Allman Brothers handbill from 1973 being offered for the FIRST time in our auction! The concert took place in Tampa at the legendary Curtis Hixon Hall and featured the great blues guitarist JOHN HAMMOND in support!
In early 1973 the band had just recorded their 4th studio album "Brothers and Sisters" which contained "Ramblin' Man" "Jessica" and others. It was the last album to feature bassist Berry Oakley who unfortunately died a couple months prior in November 1972 from a motorcycle accident - not unlike Duane a year earlier.
At this time Dickey Betts really begin to flourish as the chief songwriter for the band. The inclusion of Chuck Leavell on piano also added a fresh flavor to the new studio material and in their legendary live performances. This handbill is 100% Original with no restoration!
