One of the most popular new wave / punk / hard rock bands to hit the scene in the late 1970's was Siouxsie and the Banshees. This original poster promotes a 1995 concert at the legendary La Luna in Portland. The show was part of the tour promoting their 11th and final studio album The Rapture. This is the first time we’ve offered this Original Poster in our auction! It was produced for hanging on telephone poles record store windows ticket agencies and coffee houses around town.
Material from the pacific northwest is always considered special by collectors. They often tell a story all their own and have a different vibe than pieces from other parts of the country. It’s hard to believe this poster is over 25 years old. “Telephone pole flyers” like this are highly collectible and are notably representative of the music loving culture that produced them.
