An Original First Printing poster featuring Blue Cheer & Clear Light at the Fairgrounds Coliseum with Jerry Abrams Head Lights in support!
One of Salt Lake City's earliest psychedelic rock concerts San Francisco's own BLUE CHEER one the great unsung bands of the era headlined the gig. Blue Cheer's hard driving high volume distorted sound was a major influence for future heavy metal and hard rock groups. Check out this great article about Blue Cheer here.
The poster has a small pink & blue sticker worked into the beautiful psychedelic artwork by the late great Kenvin Lyman. Lyman was one of the two RAINBOW JAM Light Artists along with Richard Winn Taylor that produced a plethora of high tech mind blowing light shows for rock concerts & planetarium shows in Utah. They also produced some for the Family Dog during the late 60's & 1970s.
Most likely only 250 (MAX) posters were printed for this seminal SLC concert poster print run due to the expense of the silver ink and large size.
Superb Museum Quality Condition! This issue was originally distributed poorly. Only a few copies remained in the artist's stash although they are long gone following his demise. To learn more about Kenvin Lyman click here.
