This lot will be accompanied by a Letter of Provenance attesting to the fact that it resided in the historic Early '66 Time Capsule Collection one of the most exciting and important concert poster discoveries of the past 20 years.
The mighty Creedence Clearwater Revival at the Denocarlo Naval Base in Muir Beach California. This original poster was produced to announce a series of 1968 Sunday concerts at the venue. Country Weather supported along with several other area bands.
Songs by Creedence Clearwater Revival are some of the most memorable and catchy tunes of the era. Unfortunately John Fogerty signed away his publishing rights to an unscrupulous manager Saul Zantz who was also the owner of the band’s label Fantasy records. The final insult came when Zantz sued Fogerty for copying his own style in the Fogerty tune “Old Man Down The Road”.
