This poster is signed and doodled in pencil by the artist Stanley Mouse!
The FD-26 is one of the undeniable stars of the 1960’s concert poster genre and its place in history is well known. This classic Grateful Dead Family Dog issue for the Avalon Ballroom in 1966 has survived the test of time and is easily one of the most recognized images in all of Rock! Stanley Mouse created this massively sized print on fine art paper which he then hand painted vibrant pink and purple colors over with an airbrush.
An Original First Printing of this poster sold last year for $118 750 in another public auction! The lot offered here is unique and allows new collectors to have a chance to acquire this classic image one of the most popular 1960's concert poster images in a beautiful large format size for a far lower price than the pre-concert original first FD-26 printings can realize when they surface. Best of all Mouse personally air brushed this one of a kind lot and put a huge signature and doodle across the entire bottom of the print! Gorgeous!
