Here we have a poster that was produced for a 1994 concert by Green Day at La Luna in Portland. They were touring to support the group’s new album “Dookie” released 2 months prior. The record was the first on their new Warner Reprise contract and became their breakthrough into worldwide success. It sold over 10 million copies in the US.
The band also joined the lineups of both the Lollapalooza festival and Woodstock '94 shortly after this concert at the small Portland venue. This is the first time we’ve offered this Original Poster in our auction! It was produced for hanging on telephone poles record store windows ticket agencies and coffee houses around town.
Material from the pacific northwest is always considered special by collectors. They often tell a story all their own and have a different vibe than pieces from other parts of the country. It’s hard to believe this poster is over 25 years old. “Telephone pole flyers” like this are highly collectible and are notably representative of the music loving culture that produced them. This poster is in Superb Museum Quality with no visible flaws of any kind!
