Here we have an original poster promoting a 1995 concert by the late great Warren Zevon at La Luna in Portland. Known for his dry wit and acerbic lyrics the talented songwriter was touring to support his latest self-produced album release “Mutineer”. The title track of the record was frequently covered by Bob Dylan on his U.S. Fall Tour several years later. This is the first time we’ve offered this Original Poster in our auction! It was produced for hanging on telephone poles record store windows ticket agencies and coffee houses around town.
Material from the pacific northwest is always considered special by collectors. They often tell a story all their own and have a different vibe than pieces from other parts of the country. It’s hard to believe this poster is over 25 years old. “Telephone pole flyers” like this are highly collectible and are notably representative of the music loving culture that produced them. This poster is in Superb Museum Quality with no visible flaws of any kind!
