Attention Stones collectors! We are pleased to offer this early Rolling Stones handbill in our auction! It featured some of the biggest names of 1966 on the bill including The Yardbirds and Ike & Tina Turner! The concert was held at the ABC Theatre in Ardwick England on Wednesday September 28 1966. It was the 4th night of the Stones 66 British Fall Tour.
The supporting bands joined the Stones for all 12 stops on this tour and the same overall design exhibited on this ABC Theatre handbill was used on the promotional material for those shows as well. This tour took place right after the Rolling Stones released "Aftermath" and The Yardbirds were in top form with both Jeff Beck and Jimmy Page in the band.
The Rolling Stones are synonymous with Rock ‘n Roll and therefore their early material is highly sought after across the globe. This piece stands on its own in regards to both history and desirability! There are no tears or pinholes whatsoever. Only creases and handling hold this back from a perfect grade.
