We are excited to offer this fantastic specimen for the first time in our auction! Here we have a VINTAGE early 1967 Original Handbill produced for a concert by the one-man-band Jesse Fuller. The event took place at the Beverly Hall Club House in Fresno California on January 28th. Dead heads are familiar with The Lone Cat Jesse Fuller who wrote "Beat it on Down The Line" and "Monkey and the Engineer". These songs were popular additions to the vast Grateful Dead catalog over the years.

When Fuller set out to make a career as a musician during the late 1950's he had difficulty finding reliable musicians to work with so his one-man-band act was born and he started calling himself "The Lone Cat." He could play several instruments simultaneously with help from headpieces he designed for kazoos and foot pedals for percussion all while playing guitars and singing. Fuller performed in clubs and bars throughout San Francisco and across the bay in Oakland and Berkeley for many years.

This handbill from Beverly Hall is a quintessential relic speaking directly to the era with its design and purple lettering. It is very unlikely another example of this ultrar rare piece will surface anytime soon considering how VERY FEW were probably produced before the concert! This piece was consigned by someone that was at the show and kept the handbill in prstine condition for the past 53 years!
