Superb Museum Quality Condition with no visible flaws of any kind! The FD-17A has a special backstory in the Family Dog series. These shows scheduled for July 15 and 16 ended up being cancelled so the same basic image based on a painting by Franz Von Stuck was recycled for the next concert which was FD-17 July 22 1966. Due to the cancellation poster distribution prior to the concert never happened and most copies were destroyed. That alone makes this collectible extremely rare! This piece is SIGNED by the artist! Read our blog dated 1/20/18 where we discuss the skyrocketing demand for signed material such as this lot. In December 2017 a lower 9.0 signed example reached $529 in our auction. This clearly superior 9.6 example should bring exciting bids from collectors waiting for a high graded specimen to surface.
